Building Permits & Zoning
In 1997, the Town Council of Veedersburg adopted Ordinance No.97-19, a zoning ordinance for the town of Veedersburg and surrounding two mile radius.
Typical zoning ordinances are related to concepts of promoting public health and safety through zoning regulations such as limitations on building in flood plains, setbacks, or driveway access. However, most parameters fall under the less defined category promoting general welfare.
The most important and primary purposes of zoning ordinances are to protect property values, decrease public costs, and enhance the overall quality of life for residents.
Applications for permits shall be filed in written form with the Zoning Administrator and shall state the legal description of the property, the name and address of the owner, the applicant, the contractor, estimated cost, and shall describe the uses to be established or expanded and shall give such information as may be required by this ordinance for its proper enforcement.
Please download, print and fill out the permit application below or you may pick up an application for permits and the permit procedure at the Veedersburg Town Hall.
